IBSXJAUR nasce do cruzamento entre JAUR (cantautora pop) e INFRABASSESATURE (produtor de música eletrónica). A dupla representa a pista de dança noturna underground, fundindo techno e drum and bass com uma pop crua, melódica e destemida. O projeto nasceu de um encontro improvável num jardim de Paris, durante uma free party interrompida pela polícia. Esse momento deu origem a uma primeira colaboração em 2022, com IBS a participar no projeto a solo de JAUR, tornando-se no ponto de partida para a criação oficinal de IBSXJAUR. 

Como uma tempestade repentina, IBSXJAUR surgem sem aviso na cena emergente, mas impõem-se com um impacto estrondoso. Após várias atuações eletrizantes (Festival Emergente, Sobe à Vila no Vodafone Paredes de Coura, Festival TiMilha, Festival Som Riscado, entre outros) o duo captou rapidamente a atenção do circuito underground e dos melómanos mais ávidos por novidades. Depois de 3 EP’s já editados, lançaram o seu primeiro longa duração  – SANITY -, no final de 2025. Um disco que explora a fusão entre drum and bass, techno e hyperpop. Uma edição com a assinatura da editora Cuca Monga. 

O álbum explora as complexidades da saúde mental, entre desafios pessoais e pressões sociais. Com ritmos intensos e frenéticos, reflete a sensação de stress e impotência perante a velocidade do mundo moderno. Aborda temas como a ansiedade, a depressão e a criação de um alter ego, tratando assuntos frequentemente considerados tabu. Apesar do tom sombrio, “SANITY” equilibra a sua narrativa através de uma abordagem burlesca, que suaviza o discurso e oferece uma perspetiva mais lúcida e acessível.

Com uma sonoridade marcada por sintetizadores agressivos, baixos densos e vozes melodiosas, o projeto afirma uma identidade sonora e visual única, inspirada pela cultura das free parties, pela ética DIY e pelo contraste criativo entre os dois membros do grupo.

Inspirado por artistas como The Prodigy, Paramore e SOPHIE, “SANITY” é um álbum de 12 faixas que transpira as angústias de uma nova geração, que cresceu num mundo digitalizado e em constante ebulição. Expressa uma inquietação urgente — a de uma juventude confrontada com problemáticas profundamente geracionais.

IBSXJAUR was born from the meeting of JAUR (pop singer-songwriter) and INFRABASSESATURE (electronic music producer). The duo embodies the underground nightlife dancefloor, blending techno and drum and bass with raw, melodic and fearless pop.

The project emerged from an unlikely encounter in a garden in Paris, during a free party interrupted by the police. That moment led to a first collaboration in 2022, with IBS taking part in JAUR’s solo project, becoming the starting point for the official creation of IBSXJAUR.

Like a sudden storm, IBSXJAUR appeared without warning on the emerging scene, making a resounding impact. After several electrifying performances (Festival Emergente, Sobe à Vila at Vodafone Paredes de Coura, Festival TiMilha, Festival Som Riscado, among others), the duo quickly captured the attention of the underground circuit and the most eager music lovers in search of new sounds. After releasing three EPs, they launched their debut full-length album — SANITY — at the end of 2025. A record that explores the fusion of drum and bass, techno and hyperpop, released by the Portuguese label Cuca Monga.

The album explores the complexities of mental health, navigating personal challenges and social pressures. With intense and frenetic rhythms, it reflects the feeling of stress and helplessness in the face of the speed of the modern world. It addresses themes such as anxiety, depression and the creation of an alter ego, tackling subjects often considered taboo. Despite its darker tone, SANITY balances its narrative through a burlesque approach that softens the discourse and offers a more lucid and accessible perspective.

With a sound marked by aggressive synthesizers, dense basslines and melodic vocals, the project asserts a unique sonic and visual identity, inspired by free party culture, DIY ethics, and the creative contrast between the two members of the group.

Inspired by artists such as The Prodigy, Paramore and SOPHIE, SANITY is a 12-track album that breathes the anxieties of a new generation that grew up in a digitized world in constant upheaval. It expresses an urgent unrest — that of a youth confronted with deeply generational issues.
